Delhi is the only city in India which has taxicabs running only on Compressed Natural Gas.
To hail a taxicab, you normally just wait on the street or go to locations called taxi stands.
Taxicabs are referred to as taxis in Delhi and the word cab is rarely used.
The fares charged by taxi operators in the national Capital Territory of Delhi are as under:

Rs.20/- for first Kilometer (upon downing the meter) and thereafter Rs.11/- per Kilometer for every additional Kilometers for Non-AC taxis and Rs . 13.00/ per Kilometer for AC taxis for every additional Kilometer |

25% of the Fare(11.00PM to 5.00 AM) |
Waiting Charges |
Rs.30 per hour or part thereof (subject to minimum of 15 min stay) |
Luggage |
Rs.10/- per piece except for shopping bags or a small attaché case |
